Addition Clip Cards (Addition within 10)

A bumper pack of 156 clip cards for practising addition.

This huge pack of clip cards has been designed to help your child/students add numbers within 10.  There are five different sets of clip cards included, with each set getting progressively a little more challenging.

In the first three sets of clip cards, children will begin by adding groups of objects (such as dots on dice or groups of bears), before being introduced to addition number sentences (first with pictures and then without pictures). 

The final two sets of cards are 'extra challenge' cards which, as the name suggests, are a little more challenging than the others and are best done once the first three sets are complete.

The five sets of clip cards included in this pack are as follows: 

Set 1: Addition within 10 using pictures (36 cards)

Set 2: Addition within 10 using pictures and number sentences (36 cards)

Set 3: Addition within 10 using number sentences only (36 cards)

Set 4: True or false quiz cards - say whether the addition number sentence show is correct or not (24 cards)

Set 5: Missing number cards - fill in the missing number in each addition number sentence (24 cards)

How to use these clip cards

First print and cut out the cards along the dotted lines.  If you can, print the clip cards onto card stock or laminate them to make the cards a bit more robust.  You’ll also need some clothes pegs.

For each clip card, your child/students will need to look at the question and then show their answer by clipping a clothes peg onto the correct answer box at the bottom of the card.  With the exception of the true/false cards there are three answers to choose from on each clip card.
