Comparing Numbers: Crocodile Clip Cards (numbers to 20)
Comparing Numbers: Crocodile Clip Cards (numbers to 20)
Grab this huge set of 120 crocodile clip cards for kindergarten aged children.
These clip cards have been designed to help your child/students compare numbers to 20 and build number sense.
Numbers to 20 are shown in lots of different ways: as numerals, in word form, as ten frames, dots of dice and as groups of objects.
These cards include my own hand drawn crocodile greater than/less than symbols. These crocodile symbols not only make the cards more appealing, but also help children remember what each math symbol means (remember: the hungry crocodile always eats the bigger number!).
Included in this PDF download:
There are three different sets of clip cards included in this pack.
Set 1: Comparing numbers to 10 using the greater than, less than or equal sign (48 clip cards)
Set 2: Comparing numbers up to 20 using the greater than, less than or equal sign, with focus on numbers 11 to 20 (44 clip cards).
Set 3: Extra challenge cards – missing number and true/false clip cards, to be completed after sets 1 and 2 (28 clip cards).
How to use these clip cards
First print and cut out the cards along the dotted lines. If you can, print the clip cards onto cardstock or laminate them to make the cards a bit more robust. You’ll also need some clothes pegs.
For each clip card, your child/students will need to look at the question and then show their answer by clipping a clothes peg onto the correct answer box at the bottom of the card. With the exception of the true/false cards there are three answers to choose from on each clip card.
