Skip Counting Umbrellas (math craft)

Have fun practising skip counting patterns with these jolly umbrella math crafts.

Perfect as a springtime craft or as part of a weather unit, these make a nice activity for children just getting started with skip counting or a creative way to revise the topic.

In this resource the same umbrella craft is included for skip counting by 2, 10, 5, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9. (If you are using this with a class of children, differentiation is easy as all students can be working on different times tables whilst completing the same activity).

For each skip counting pattern there are two pages to print - a large umbrella picture and also a page of small raindrops with numbers inside.

To complete the craft, simply cut out and glue the raindrop numbers in skip counting order onto the umbrella. Then cut out the umbrella, glue on the umbrella handle and colour it in.

The umbrellas look great on display and will make an eye-catching border for your math bulletin board.
